I have over seventeen years’ experience working in the Voluntary Sector and over nine years’ experience working with and in the Statutory Sector. My career to date has been varied and includes public health and healthcare, diversity, equity, and inclusion, community development, engagement and participation, data protection, sharing and security, and urban regeneration, renewal, and change.
At METRO GAVS, I am the Head of Place and Partnerships, and the Strategic Lead for METRO GAVS within METRO Charity. My primary focus within my role is to ensure that the Greenwich Voluntary Sector possesses a powerful voice in its collaborations with Statutory and Voluntary stakeholders. By facilitating the sector’s representation, I aim to empower the Voluntary Sector and amplify its impact. To support this objective, I oversee the management of METRO GAVS's three delivery areas: Capacity Building and Infrastructure Support Service, Greenwich Community Accountancy Programme, and the Greenwich Hub for Influence, Voice, and Engagement (G-HIVE).
I also sit on a number of partnership panels including the Health and Wellbeing Board, Healthier Greenwich Partnership, Neighbourhood and Health and Inclusion Community of Practice, Safer Neighbourhood Board, and South East London Voluntary, Community, and Social Enterprise Strategic Alliance. Through my participation in these influential bodies, I actively contribute to the advancement of collaborative efforts in enhancing health, wellbeing, and overall community cohesion in the Royal Borough of Greenwich.
Previously, I worked for the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham where I was a Commissioning and Programmes Manager, delivering on the borough-wide Inclusive Growth Programme. Prior to this, I was a Project Manager and led a number of Council-wide and department-specific governance, compliance, and digital transformation projects.
Outside of METRO GAVS, I am a Doctoral Candidate at King’s College London. My research focuses on youth experiences of, engagement with, and participation in urban regeneration and inclusive growth. I am also a Seminar and Field Trip Lead for a number of undergraduate and postgraduate taught modules within the Department of Geography. Moreover, I am an independent consultant to the Metropolitan Police Service.
