I am an experienced finance professional with over five years' experience working across British, Australian, and Indian accounting systems, supporting organisations with financial management, compliance, and long-term sustainability. My professional background includes work within accounting firms and community-facing environments, where I have developed a strong understanding of the financial challenges faced by small and medium-sized Voluntary Sector organisations. I bring a practical, supportive, and detail-oriented approach to accounting, with a strong commitment to building financial confidence and resilience.
At GAVS, I work as the Community Accountant, where I lead the delivery of the Greenwich Community Accountancy Programme. In this role, I support Voluntary Sector organisations across the Royal Borough of Greenwich by providing accessible, high-quality financial guidance and accountancy support. My work helps organisations strengthen their financial governance, improve reporting and budgeting practices, and meet statutory and funder requirements with confidence. I also provide crisis support where organisations are experiencing financial difficulty, helping them to stabilise their finances and plan a clear path forward.
Through the programme, I work closely with charities, community groups, and social enterprises, offering one-to-one support on areas such as delivering universal financial skills, bookkeeping, budgeting and budget monitoring, transaction recording, cashflow planning, year-end reporting, financial planning, risk management, governance-related financial queries, training on basic accounting tools, and sustainability planning. I also collaborate with internal colleagues and external stakeholders to ensure the Voluntary Sector is equipped with the financial tools and knowledge needed to operate effectively and deliver meaningful impact for local communities through ongoing developing digital resource hub.
Prior to joining GAVS, I worked with UK accounting firms supporting a diverse portfolio of clients, including charities, sole traders, partnerships, companies, and NHS trusts with year-end accounts, VAT returns, payroll compliance, audit preparation, management reporting, and cloud-based accounting systems. I have also held roles within Australian and Indian accounting firms, where I gained extensive experience in international accounting standards, audits, tax compliance, and financial analysis.
