BVSC begins support for Greenwich Voluntary and Community Sector - join us for a gathering in May.
Bexley Voluntary Service Council (BVSC) is delighted to begin supporting Greenwich’s vibrant voluntary and community sector. This is an exciting moment in our 60‑year history, and we look forward to working closely with you throughout 2026–27—building on the strong foundations laid by METRO GAVS and further strengthening the fantastic work already happening across the borough.
As with any transition, the next few weeks may feel a little bumpy while we settle into new ways of working. With a slightly smaller team, some aspects of the service may look a little different too, but our commitment to supporting the sector remains unchanged.
We’re so pleased to be maintaining valuable GAVS expertise within the new service. Mutmahim Roaf, Development Officer, and Vindhya Viswanathan, Community Accountant, have now joined the BVSC team, and we are thrilled to continue benefiting from their knowledge, relationships and experience.
We will be hosting a VCFS Gathering bringing together local voluntary, community and faith groups on Tuesday 19th May between 10:00-12:00 at the Tramshed (51-53 Woolwich New Rd, London SE18 6ES). Come along to meet GAVS and BVSC staff, hear our 2026–27 plans and reconnect with sector colleagues.
