EOIs from VCSE, supporting cancer early diagnosis and screening
The South East London Cancer Alliance are inviting Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisations interested in supporting cancer early diagnosis and screening awareness across South East London during 2026/27.
Please note the very tight turnaround time to express interest – the deadline is 31 July 2026.
As part of the South East London Cancer Alliance (SELCA) Early Diagnosis Programme, funding has been allocated to support community-led initiatives that explicitly address reducing health inequalities, improve awareness of cancer signs and symptoms, increase engagement with cancer screening programmes, and encourage earlier presentation and diagnosis within local communities among underserved and marginalised communities.
SELCA are particularly interested in hearing from organisations that have strong links with communities experiencing health inequalities and who can support engagement with underserved populations. Proposals must clearly demonstrate an inequalities focus to be considered.
Funding Available
Funding of up to £5,000 per project is available to support VCSE-led projects across South East London.
While initial funding is allocated per project, we welcome proposals that consider longer-term or multi-year projects, recognising the value of sustained work with communities. Future continuation will be subject to funding availability and programme priorities.
Priority Areas
Projects should focus on one or more of the following areas, with a clear emphasis on reducing health inequalities:
