Develop knowledge, skills and the ability to work together on the processes for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. To provide an opportunity for colleagues from different agencies to learn together and explore professional dilemmas. The aims are to describe inter-agency roles and responsibilities for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, demonstrate skills in effective collaboration between agencies to achieve intended outcomes, understand the protocols and procedures to be followed, including information sharing and recording, understand agency roles in and contribution to information gathering and analysis, and understand in some depth the legislative and administrative framework within which children’s welfare is safeguarded and promoted.
