Loic Marcon is Leaving METRO GAVS

Loic Marcon will be leaving METRO GAVS in December to take up a new role as Senior Wellbeing and Public Health Officer at Essex County Council.

)

Having first started in December 2024 as the Service Support Officer, Loic became the Voice and Representation Manager for the Capacity Building and Infrastructure Support Service in August 2025. During his time at METRO GAVS, Loic has worked tirelessly to ensure that the Voluntary Sector is provided with the highest quality support to ensure they are able to deliver their respective services for local communities and residents within the Royal Borough of Greenwich. He led an innovative pilot to address the high rates of travel-related malaria within the borough, mobilised the Greenwich Community Accountancy Programme, re-launched the Global Majority-led and Smaller / Grassroots Voice Forums, and continually advocated for the Greenwich Voluntary Sector within wider Health and Social Care System developments. He will be sorely missed, but everyone at METRO GAVS wishes him every success in his new role and future endeavours.
