The consultation seeks views on proposals to strengthen support and safety for children and young people with medical conditions and allergies. This includes requiring every setting to publish a medical conditions policy, strengthening Individual Healthcare Plans (IHPs), improving the recording, reporting and learning from serious incidents and near misses, and introducing a dedicated allergy safety policy covering staff training and the use of adrenaline devices.
