Provides each London Safer Neighbourhood Board with money for local projects that support problem solving, crime prevention, crime reduction, and community engagement.
Projects must address at least one MOPAC priority: putting victims first and reducing inequalities, keeping children and young people safe, tackling violence against women and girls, or tackling hate crime and intolerance. They must also help prevent or reduce crime and/or strengthen community engagement, with particular emphasis on involving local communities that are not already engaged with crime and policing issues.
Projects are likely to be supported if they provide crime prevention advice or materials in areas targeted by specific crimes, enable time-limited engagement or development work by organisations linked to SNB functions, deliver police and public engagement events, or offer diversionary activities such as sport or culture for groups at risk of offending.
