Childhood vaccination figures for 2024-25 released by the UK Health Security Agency show vaccination figures to be well below expected for “herd immunity” in children, with one in five children starting primary school unprotected from serious diseases.
This has prompted fears that children will be more vulnerable to infectious diseases as they begin school in September. The Government is urging parents to make sure their children are up to date with their vaccines. Read more here.
