The Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) distributed its highest-ever amount of £1.2 billion to charities on behalf of individuals and businesses in its last financial year, despite a year of “economic volatility and geopolitical uncertainty” for charities it supports.
Charity regulators are considering whether to amend proposed tiers for accounting requirements after some in the sector raised concerns about the suggested levels in a consultation.
Most businesses “do nothing” to support charities, according to research from the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF), which surveyed 1,085 businesses and found that only 25% donated their time, cash, or goods to charities last year.
