More residents with disabilities will soon be able to get support to make their homes safer and easier to live in thanks to a new council plan.
Registered charities or non-profit companies limited by guarantee in economically disadvantaged areas that serve underrepresented and marginalised groups can apply for up to £5,000; constituted charitable organisations with no charity number can apply for up to £2,000.
Charities with a total annual income between £20,000 and £150,000 working to improve people’s health and wellbeing can apply for grants up to £10,000, plus free training and development valued at a further £5,000.
Grants of between £500,000 and £1.5 million are available over 3-5 years to support community-led partnership climate change projects with a lasting impact that can be scaled up or replicated. At least one partner should have climate or environmental experience, but the lead organisation does not need to be climate-focused.
Grants of up to £3,500 are available to support local artists, creatives and community groups for community arts and Black History projects.
